Bungie have announced that they are developing Destiny for PS4 and PS3 as well as releasing two videos featuring the first gameplay footage and some striking new concept art to add to the previously leaked material. The artwork proved so inspiring to Russian designer Ilya V. Boykov he created his own Destiny art in motion animated trailer.

Bethesda Softworks have released a ridiculously epic cinematic trailer for The Elder Scrolls Online – The Alliances. The level of detail is astonishing and will obviously bear no resemblance to the actual gameplay visuals. Definitely worth five minutes of your time.

Outlast is a new survival horror game now in development by brand new studio Red Barels. Their vision is “to create interactive experiences in which the player goes on an emotional and unforgettable journey”. Sounds great and looking at the trailer they might well deliver on their promise. The environments inside Mount Massive Asylum look really creepy and atmospheric.

EA have launched a trailer for Medal Of Honor Warfighter that is, in places, simply stunning. So much so that it’s difficult to believe that it is actual gameplay footage. As with the recent Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes trailer, the foreground characters are incredibly detailed and beautifully animated, with lighting effects and dusty atmospheres masking the less detailed background environments. Definitely worth a watch.

2K Games have given us a new take on the gameplay trailer with XCOM: Enemy Unknown. It’s an interactive YouTube video that allows viewers to ‘play’ the game by clicking the on-screen boxes to make game choices. It kind of reminds me of the Choose your own adventure books I read as a nipper, except with XCOM you can blow an alien’s brainstem across the street. Nice. Definitely worth a look, especially for the lovely interface in the rain effects.

We’re back, after a brief hiatus, with an array of ‘Behind The Scenes’ videos. I must admit that I sometimes prefer the ‘making of’ on a special edition Blu Ray to the actual film itself, and it’s no different with games. It’s great to see the array of different talents that are ruthlessly exploited employed together to create a ‘triple A’ game.

Kojima Productions have released a new gameplay trailer for Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes and it’s every bit as epic, cinematic and self-indulgent as you would expect. It appears Hideo Kojima has been taking lighting tips from JJ Abrams as lens flares adorn the entire 10 minute video. The trailer opens with some impressive weather effects, including falling rain and mist, as well as the realistic clothing movements in the gusts of wind. The moody lighting, lens blurs and bokeh effects all contribute to the cinematic quality. All the more impressive if this really is all achievable on the PS3 using their much vaunted Fox Engine.

Naughty Dog have released a 15 minute gameplay trailer for the highly anticipated Last Of Us. As you would expect from the creators of the Uncharted series, it look amazing. Beautiful environments, lighting and character animation combine to offer a truly immersive experience. The only downside being that it’s another PS3 exclusive. I really am going to have to get one.

Here is the trailer for the third episode in Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead series. Based on the beautifully illustrated comic book created by Robert Kirkman, rather than the TV series spin-off, the game has a stylised look reminiscent of Afro Samurai. Take a look at some of the screen shots.

1313 looks like the kind of Star Wars game I could really get on board with. An FPS exploring the dystopian underside of Coruscant that really does promise to be a hive of scum and villainy. Have a look through the lovely, gritty concept art.
