Lucasarts have canned Star Wars Battlefront Online, having been in pre-production since January 2010. It’s not clear how long the game was actually in development for, but concept art has now emerged from Slant Six Games via Siliconera. Sadly the artwork is relatively low res, but it’s still enough to get the inner Star Wars geek interested. The speeder bike seems a little out-of-place on Hoth, but both the hangar and Ion Cannon are very evocative of The Empire Strikes Back.

There’s no doubt that Crysis 3 looks like it will absolutely stunning. A game verging on cinematic quality. So then, a chance to have a good look behind the scenes of this hyper-realistic first-person shooter is just too good to miss. The Creators Projects are running a new five-part series exploring the creative process behind some of today’s most popular video games, co-developed with leading game magazine, Kill Screen. This first episode is certainly worth 7 minutes of your time.

Eric Bellefeuille has recently updated his portfolio on Behance with latest user interface work on Mass Effect 3 – Omega DLC. I urge you to go and have a look. Not only are there the cool UI screens below, although sadly quite low res, but there are also some videos of the holographic user interface in action. While you’re there, take the opportunity to look at his other works, including the breathtaking Deus Ex Human Revolution and Star Wars – The Old Republic.
