The internet is awash with news of leaked concept art from Bungie’s follow-up to the all-conquering Halo 4. Bungie have confirmed the new game, called ‘Destiny’, over on IGN. The artwork reflects Bungie’s aim “to create a universe as deep, tangible and relatable as that of the Star Wars franchise.” They feature overgrown ruins of earths infrastructure and organic, almost steampunk looking alien vehicles. The most striking image is the giant alien spaceship hovering over earth. A white moon-like sphere, possibly under construction? That’s no moon!

The hugely talented William Wu has recently released some of his work for Assassin’s Creed 3. The Ubisoft concept artist has created a series of artworks with such an extraordinary level of detail that I would gladly hang them up on my wall.

You need to have a gander at the London Games Festival 2012 which “celebrates the culture of games and the hugely creative talent within the interactive entertainment industry “.

The Games Art Exhibition boasts a unique collection of artwork featuring some beautiful and stunning concept art from a variety of videogames. Best of all, most of the art on display is available to buy on eBay, for those blessed with a wad of spare cash, with all proceeds going to the wonderful Special Effect charity.

Kook Ewo has designed the end titles sequence for Silent hill 2, the movie based on the survival horror game created by Team Silent for Konami. Ewo also directed the end titles for the first Silent Hill movie. Chez Eddy created the VFX for this creepy and slightly odd video.

The opening cutscene is now online from the creators of the Halo 4 game, 343 Industries. Once again, like the Medal Of Honor Warfighter trailer, I am amazed to see just how convincing 3D artwork and animation has become. Uncanny alley seems like just a distant memory now. I genuinely wondered if the Dr. Halsey footage was real for a moment. Incredible work.

Outlast is a new survival horror game now in development by brand new studio Red Barels. Their vision is “to create interactive experiences in which the player goes on an emotional and unforgettable journey”. Sounds great and looking at the trailer they might well deliver on their promise. The environments inside Mount Massive Asylum look really creepy and atmospheric.
